Pierre obtained his engineering degree from the École Nationale Supérieure des Sciences Appliquées in France in 2004. He worked for three years in the electronics and embedded software industry before joining the ESIGELEC research lab as a robotic expert. In 2016, he received his PhD degree from the University of Rouen for works related to LiDAR localization for robotics. Currently perception team leader at LeddarTech in Quebec City, he focuses his research interests in LiDAR-based detection, localization, and mapping dedicated to autonomous vehicles.
